CANCELLED

FOR 2012

Sadly Valley Band Camp for the 2012 session has been cancelled due to a shortfall of registrations. We must have a minumum number of students in each section to create a balanced and well-rounded sound. Our sincere apologies to the students who had chosen to participate in this beneficial summer experience. A special note of thanks to Rob Birdwell, who graciously agreed to Direct this year's camp. We wish to thank our performance venues who continue to support Valley Youth Summer Band Camp:

2012 All-National Honor Band





 The National Association for Music Education has announced winners of auditions for placement in the High School All-National Honor Band for 2011-12. Corvallis High School is pleased to announce that McKenzie Huso, a Junior at CHS and a tuba player in our Wind Ensemble has been selected to partcipate in the 2012 All-National Honor Band. The event will be held June 21-24th in Washington, D.C. with the finale performance at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Congratulations, McKenzie!

All Call Times are at 6:20 p.m. in the band room. Please wear the 2012 Pep Band T-Shirts, available in the band room ($8.00).  We will look uniform and easy to identify at the door for free admission to all the games. It is recommended that you bring a water bottle with you at all times. Enjoy and let the school spirit soar! GO SPARTANS!!!

**All band members are asked to participate in six of the ten games. The Boys game against CV is a Mandatory Attendance Game. At this game we will hold the CHS Annual Band Alumni event. Please sign up for five or more games on the sheets located in the band room. You may participate in more than six games if you wish. Please sign up and let us know you are coming. We will work around all the other activities and events happening in our school and community. Please see Mrs. Stevens if you have questions.
