A little background on our opponent the Churchill Lancers! They are from the 5A Midwestern League, Eugene is their hometown. They finished in 2nd place in 2010, with a 6-4 conference record. Their coach, Darrell Mehl is in his 8th season of coaching at Churchill. The Lancers have been in the state playoffs for each of the past five years. Last year they reached the second playoff round and were defeated by CV 64-33! Notable players include: Mitch Reese their quarterback....who has been quite successful with a play known as the backside post. Aaron Ingram an all-league selection last season, Colin Smith on offense and special teams standout...Josh Han! They finished 4th in league this season and you can bet our Spartans will be ready to play championship football!!!
